ARRIVE AT DEHRADUN AND DEPART FOR PANTHWARI
Arrive at Dehradun by 6:00 am and immediately depart for Panthwari via Mussorie-Kempty Falls- Nain Bagh. Arrival at Panthwari around noon. From here we begin the trek to Kathiyan. The trek is scenic and easy offering some mesmerising views along the forest trail. The beginning of the trail is cemented but as the trek progresses, the same is replaced by a rocky Shepard’s trail.
TREK FROM KATHIYAN TO NAG TIBBA AND RETURN TO DEHRADUN
Rise early to get a head start as it is going to be a long day with a lot of walking to do. The route winds through a lovely forest trail that offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Most of the trail goes through thickly forested areas. The trails from here are well-defined, however, during January and February, snow makes it difficult to identify the trail. Once you reach on top of Nag Tibba, you may be lucky to see Himalayan ranges like Swargarohini, Gangotri, Banderpoonch etc., on a day with clear sky from the left side of the slope. Spend some quality time (about half an hour) absorbing the beauty of your surroundings. Trek back to Panthwari and board a train or a bus back to Dehradun. It is recommended that you book a late-night bus or a train so that you are able to catch them well in time. Head back home with wonderful memories of the Trek with Adventureism.
